Angelica & Mike's Greek Wedding in Toronto

Something we said about Angelica during her engagement session is that she looked like a glowing angel…

The light hitting her so perfectly, Mike looked like her prince charming, it’s all so beautiful! When their wedding day rolled around, that perfect angelic light, the fairytale couple, it was all there and no different than their engagement session, le sigh it was perfect! Coincidentally, they both grew up— quite literally— living around the corner from each other so even if we weren’t already planning on photographing some getting ready at both of their houses, we would do it anyways out of sheer ease! Walking into their houses in the morning was easily one of the most calm mornings we’ve had in a while; everything was quiet, easy, preparations were already in order, and everyone was leisurely doing what they needed to do to finish up and get out the door (weird, right?).

A small snag in the morning came when the car they ordered to pick them up- a vintage Rolls- didn’t show up. There was some confusion the car being rebooked to this new date and instead of getting upset and letting it ruin their day, Angelica pushed through and rearranged things. Instead of riding in the rental car she rallied her sister and BIL (and got them to move the kids seats out of their car and into her parents) and we rode with them to The Guild Inn Estate, where Mike and Ethan were waiting. With the car situation putting us a little behind schedule, it gave Ethan and Mike the opportunity to scout the area and take a few test photos so when we arrived we jumped right into doing a first look, portraits of the two of them together, and eventually when their families arrived we knocked out the group photos before heading to the church. The weather was perfect all day, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better day to be shooting outside!

The ceremony was a traditional Greek wedding ceremony with only a handful of their closest friends and family. For those that weren’t able to attend the ceremony was live streamed via the Church so many still felt like they were present without actually being there. With the live stream camera being set up in the upper foyer away from everyone we were fortunate to be able to get multiple angles of the ceremony; ground level in front of A+M as well as high up behind them.

We’re so thankful to have been on this journey with A+M, and are so happy they still got married this year! We’re even more grateful for the lovely words they left for us:

I don't even know where to begin to thank Hannah, Stef and Ethan, but I'll start by saying these 3 are the dream team. They clearly love what they do in addition to doing it together. My husband and I could not be happier with our recent wedding photos as well as our engagement photos. From the beginning this was a stress-free process, taking the photos we were at ease and most importantly we had fun and it shows in our photos. I had wanted a mix of candid as well as portrait style and I love it all. H, S and E will deliver exactly what you ask for and I love that I have a variety of photos. I have incredible family portrait shots in addition to some of my fave candids with my husband (engagement and wedding). My only difficulty has been deciding what to post/print because I love them all. Thank you, thank you, thank you you guys are truly amazing!
