Earlene & Josh's Sunset Engagement at Home
We’ll be the first to admit we don’t like shooting at the same location twice, BUT THIS WAS AN EXCEPTION
Earl & Josh have a massive property that they had been prepping for the wedding for a while now, so when they suggested using the property for both their engagement photos and wedding portraits we were a little apprehensive. Getting there and seeing the space made it all difference though; it was immediately clear that there wouldn’t be much (if any) overlap in photo locations for their engagement and wedding day, and being able to see the area beforehand was super helpful in navigating and preparing for their wedding ahead of time. It’s not something we recommend— why not have some variety in your photos!— but in this case it was well worth it.
We drove around their and a little bit of their neighbour’s property on their quad and we made some stops along the way for portraits. It’s always so fun learning about a couple at their engagement session; what their story is, who they are, and even to see how well we mesh together with a camera between us. Earl & Josh were naturals and were so giddy (our favourite thing!) and we had such a fun and beautiful evening exploring and shooting with them.
