Kate & Jesse's Couple Session in Haliburton
We’re so thrilled to finally have shot at sir sams!
This is somewhere Ethan has been mountain biking (in the summer, of course) for years now and he has always remarked at how beautiful of a location it would be for a couples session. It took a while to find a more local couple who was available with our cottage schedule (occasional weekdays since we work through the weekends, especially in the summer) but with Kate & Jesse we finally made it work.
This is unusual and not something we typically offer but because K&J’s wedding was in the early summer none of us actually wanted to do their engagement session in spring AKA bug season, so we put it off until fall, and I think it’s safe to say that we’re all so thrilled that we did! Because they’re local to the Haliburton area and have a semi-flexible schedule to meet on one of our own cottage trips it was easy to coordinate this.
We started at the top of the ski hill where were got a beautiful view overlooking the country side and lake, in addition to a beautiful rainbow. Their lovely lab Joni (named after Joni Mitchell, of course) joined us as we worked our way down the hill. It was raining off an on throughout the day (hence the rainbow) and while it held off for the beginning part of our session, at the end when we headed to the waterfront it started to mist again so we didn’t linger long. We’re so thrilled to have finally gotten here and hope we can get back again!
